At Epione Health we offer a wide array of services to provide comprehensive care for sustainable results.

One of our favourite treatments that we are proud to offer at Epione Health is acupuncture.

Acupuncture can be effective for many types of health concerns, including fatigue, digestive symptoms, women’s health issues, headaches, anxiety, insomnia, muscle tension, and joint pain.  As well as, facial rejuvenation.

Based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a medical system that has been used for thousands of years to prevent, diagnose, and treat disease, acupuncture uses specific points on the body that correspond to internal organ systems to help relieve pain, balance the nervous system and improve wellness.

Naturopathic Doctors are licensed to perform acupuncture in Ontario.

In addition to acupuncture, our doctors regularly performs more specialized techniques, including:

  • Trigger point release – perfect for tight muscles and knots.

  • Electrostimulation acupuncture– hooking the needles up to a small micro-current to relax muscle tone.

  • Cupping – bring blood flow and oxygen to tense areas.

Acupuncture is commonly used to treat:

  • Muscle tension, aches, and pains, as well as to promote healing of injuries

  • Hormonal imbalances such as irregular cycles, endometriosis, PCOS and PMS

  • Fertility concerns, in women undergoing IVF or other assisted reproductive techniques, acupuncture has been shown to significantly improve the outcome of IVF

  • Concerns during pregnancy, like nausea, vomiting and digestive upset, preparation for labour and post-partum care.

  • Anxiety, low moods, and insomnia

  • Digestive concerns such as constipation, upset stomach, pain associated with Crohn's/colitis

For best results, acupuncture treatments are recommended 1-2 times weekly for 4-6 weeks. Each session is approximately 45 minutes.
